Queensland Country Life building facade restored at base of Aurora Tower

As part of the Aurora Tower development, the 1888 Victorian Mannerist facade of the Queensland Country Life building has been brought back to life.

The Aurora itself is an impressive building. Brisbane's new tallest, it rises 207 metres and 69 storeys and is imposing from the riverside.

Heritage Disaster Averted as Legal Loophole Closed

Brisbane City Council has apparently averted a heritage disaster which could have seen as many as 2,000 buildings lose their heritage status after Highgate Hill resident Joy Lamb took the council to court to try to remove the heritage listing on her art deco home.
